Dementia Action Week Is 17 - 23 May 2021!

To mark Dementia Action Week, Ascot Care Agency are delighted to announce Deputy Manager, Mike Campling has designed a new bespoke dementia sensory board, the boards are developed by Sensory Moments in conjunction with Ascot Care.

The tactile sensory boards have been developed to help people experiencing dementia and in particular sensory loss or communication difficulties, crucially they can be designed in a bespoke fashion so that they reflect anything an individual holds dear to them.

Led by Alzheimer's Society, Dementia Action Week is a national event that sees the public coming together to take action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.

The Ascot Care offices will display posters and information all week to help raise awareness of dementia, this follows on from our January run for dementia fundraiser with further fundraisers planned for June. To find out more about this fundraising event, please read our article here.
