Supporting our Ex Military Veterans

Ascot Care Agency are providing an executive box for ex-military veterans.

Ascot Care Agency, owned by Darlington Mowden Park Captain Gareth Nesbit, are providing an executive box for ex-military veterans at Mowden Parks next home game against Rosslyn Park on 9th January.

Based in Darlington, Ascot Care specialise in the provision of luxury care including home care for clients in their own home as well as respite and residential care for clients at Ascot's Care home in Darlington.

They are an independent, family run business with over 20 years’ experience in care.

The agency was founded in 1999, and have since gained a reputation for providing a professional, caring and reliable service.

Nesbit said: “Ascot Care’s chosen charity is Hire a Hero, which provides support for military personnel who have served our country.

“The charity was formed to ease the difficult transition from military to civilian life by offering assistance with employment, training, housing, and care, we work all year round to help raise funds and awareness for them, our staff help organise run and participate in different activities including golf days, bake sales and various other events and as part of our continued support of military charities we thought we’d host a day at Darlington Mowden Park for military veterans, these are people who have served our country and Ascot Care are privileged to help them in any way we can ”

One of the guests will be Darlington resident Ray Hickson who served in the RAF Regiment for over 27 years and toured several countries including Germany, Ireland, Malta and Cyprus. Ray is a big Rugby Fan so will hopefully enjoy a day at the arena watching his local team.

The day will be hosted by Julie Tomlins the care manager for Ascot Agency, her son Kyle Tomlins is a current Mowden Park under 10 player and will be the club mascot for the first team game
